Hawkins at Work: Electric Generator Replacement in Howard County
Most of the posts here on the Hawkins Wire address electrical work done in homes. But Hawkins also does bigger, commercial (link to commercial page) jobs, and today we have photos of a really big one:
Our team installing a 9,000-pound generator.
The work was done last month in Howard County, Md., at an apartment complex that needed a new generator. It arrived on a flatbed truck and was lifted into place by a crane. The crane placed the generator on a permanent concrete slab, where eventually it will be fully enclosed.
With this new generator, building residents will not lose power during bad storms or other power outages.
The generator on the right was delivered for Hawkins to install in Howard County.
