From the depths of the two-level underground parking garage up to the building’s rooftop pool-arcade-fitness center, Hawkins Electric performed an array of services for 12 stories of multi-family residential units and associated amenities. Services included installation of switchboards, branch circuitry in all residential units, all interior work, mechanical systems, electronic lighting controls, circuit transformer cabinet for Pepco metering and risers for electrical rooms.

Working for general contractor WCS Construction, LLC, the Hawkins Electric team had as many as 30 technicians at one time performing an array of services ranging from the depths of the two-level underground garage up to the building’s rooftop pool-arcade-fitness center. Hawkins’ scope of work was substantially completed on March 14, 2018.

President/CEO Eric Shatzer says, “It’s been quite an honor and experience to be part of the transformation of an aging and outdated strip mall on Rockville Pike to a vibrant, walkable and livable mixed-use community. Hawkins Electric Service has specialized in mixed-use electrical construction for decades, so we had the right technical expertise and team to help create the infrastructure and final touches to make this building at Pike & Rose a place where people will want to live, shop and work.”

Hawkins Electric Service, which is celebrating its centennial this year, provided multiple electrical construction services for the residential sections of The Henri, including installations of switchboards, branch circuitry in all residential units, all interior work, mechanical systems, electronic lighting controls, a circuit transformer cabinet for Pepco metering, and risers for electrical rooms.

Executive Vice President Todd Shatzer comments, “This section of the new Pike & Rose development is definitely a signature project for us. Through successive family generations of leadership, our company has maintained its edge in electrical service technology, which positioned us to be selected for this project. Just as important, our core business model of providing world-class customer service and, most of all, always doing the right thing is also a key differentiator for Hawkins Electric Service.”
